Can you feel it in the air? Football is coming back! And with another Green Bay Packers season also comes other time-honored traditions throughout Wisconsin. There are Packers parties, snack spreads, day-drinking, trash talking, and Halftime Shows.

Football season is also a time for novelty Packers songs. Yes, there’s an entire sub-genre of music related to the Green & Gold. There are tributes to beloved Green Bay players, full-fledged athletic anthems, diss tracks against rivals, pigskin parodies, Packers polkas, and football-focused covers. To get ready to football’s return and as a means of celebrating this super niche (and uniquely Wisconsin) sect of music, we decided to get you ready for the season by putting together a Packers Song Bracket.

We called upon Jared Blohm, a Milwaukee Record contributor and the planet’s foremost authority on Packers novelty songs, to assemble a 64-song bracket consisting of eight different regions that run the gamut of Pack tracks. In the end, one composition will be named the Best Packers Song Ever. Round 1 started August 15 (that’s today!) and runs through August 21. Subsequent rounds will take place August 22-25, August 26-29, August 30-September 1, September 2-3, and a Final Round that runs September 4-5. Vote now, vote as often as you’d like, and Go Pack Go!
