The Milwaukee Brewers are going to the World Series. THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES! That’s an amazing sentence to write. It still doesn’t feel real, does it? Well, it’s real and it’s spectacular! A momentous occasion so many of us have waited our entire lives for and, admittedly, some of us had accepted may never happen has finally come to fruition. As the old saying goes: Holy shit.

Sure, we’re nervous and we know the team still has work to do, but we’ve enjoyed this postseason run so far and we’re both excited and hopeful for what’s ahead. As we prepare for four-to-seven intense, enthralling, and emotional games that we’re sure to remember for years to come (regardless of the outcome), we’d like to share some sentiments we’ve been telling ourselves since last week’s pennant-clinching win.

Savor this. In spite of this being a wholly new experience for the vast majority of fans, act like you’ve been here before. And please, please make sure to enjoy the ride and forget about all the other noise, negativity, and rage bait Wisconsin sports fans are so prone to fixating upon whenever our teams are in the national spotlight. As the 2026 Brewers stand at the precipice of a World Series title and knock on the door of baseball immortality, we urge…no, we beg you to focus on how great this moment in time is and do your best to ignore the following things.

The perceived bias of national broadcasters
These first two Brewers playoffs series have been extremely fun and fairly dominant. The one complaint that can be registered so far is the incessant whining of fans that national broadcast teams haven’t been as openly effusive, excited, or celebratory about Milwaukee’s on-field performance. Get over it! Who gives a rat’s ass that A.J. Pierzynski or whatever didn’t lose his shit as much as you deem necessary during a major Brewers postseason moment? Don’t let your perceptions of John Smoltz’s emotions get in the way of your own.

When a sports pundit inevitably talks shit about Milwaukee
Sticking with the media focus, at some point in this series, a noted sports pundit will inevitably say something critical about the city of Milwaukee. Maybe it’s already happened, but we doubt that’s the case because we’ve yet to witness the wave of comments by Milwaukeeans tripping over themselves to defend and talk up the city.

Who the hell cares if [arbitrary sports guy we’re just using as an example] Jason Whitlock doesn’t think Milwaukee is cool? Let people think that. Instead of pathetically inviting some hater to come to a place they’ve already made their mind up about to come try cheese curds and check out The Domes of whatever, just save the time and avoid looking desperate. Ignore it. If people want to give the city a chance, that’s great. Welcome! And if they don’t, that’s arguably even better. More Milwaukee for us!

Speculation about low World Series ratings
Oh no! How ever will FOX manage if fewer people watch two young and exciting small-market teams battle it out in this year’s World Series than previous fall classics?! Can’t someone please think of what this must be doing to Rupert Murdoch!

Anything Cubs fans might have to say
Again, who cares? Milwaukee is still playing and Chicago isn’t. More over, why bother even thinking about the franchise, its fans, or its well-compensated manager right now where there are so many directly Brewers-related things to be happy about? It seems unproductive. If nothing else, save that for next spring when both teams are playing again.

Discussion about how a Brewers World Series would actually be “bad for baseball”
Ugh! For the first time in 44 seasons, Milwaukee gets its first true bite at the apple and it’s somehow weaponized as a means of giving owners leverage in impending labor negotiations. Awesome. Yes, it’s frustrating that cheap-ass billionaire shithead Mark Attanasio is currently being rewarded for his decades of shrewdness, but it’s also cool the baseball team we like is playing in the fucking World Series in spite of said shrewdness. Don’t focus on the one time Milwaukee earned a World Series appearance, maybe think about the 27,000 times the Dodgers essentially bought one (oftentimes with deferred money).

Complaining about ticket prices
Yes, tickets are expensive. Everything is expensive. We’re living in hell, after all. If you have the means, either pay far more than you believe you should to go or put a limit to what you feel the experience is worth to you and watch at home like the rest of us. We agree that is sucks, but continuing to complain about it at this point in time only puts a negative shadow on an amazing occurrence. Also, nobody cares about how long you’ve liked the team…least of all the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s unfair, but it’s true. And if the word “Timeless Ticket” is never uttered again, it’ll still be too soon.

Anything else that could possibly get in the way of your enjoyment of this moment in time
Now that we’ve spread out pretty much every ugly and unpleasant aspect of this experience you might be tempted to immerse yourself in between now and the end of the World Series, we repeat our original plea: Savor this. Act like you’ve been here before, while simultaneously acknowledging you never have and may never be again. Enjoy the ride. Go Brewers.
