Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a gorgeous little gal known as Ruby.
Meet Ruby, a gorgeous little girl with a giant heart! This four-month-old female tabico kitten is a sweet little love-bug, looking for a family to shower with affection. She has a lovely tabby coat woven with stunning orange highlights and is velvety soft. Ruby has also mastered the fine art of the kitten flop and loves to have her belly gently pet.

Ruby spent the first few months of life fending for her little self on the streets. Coming from the outdoors, it took her a little time to learn to trust the love, comfort, and safety of living inside with humans. So she may take a little time to warm up in her new environment. With a little bit of patience though, her sweet personality shines through beautifully.
This little gal absolutely adores other cats! She thrives on feline companionship and must go to a home that already has one or more friendly cat buddies, or be adopted with a kitten friend. At four months old, she still has plenty of fun kitten energy. She enjoys chasing toy mice and batting at feathers, but she always wraps up playtime by seeking out a warm lap or a cat pile for a long nap.
