UPDATE: Watch it HERE.

Today in “This rules! Wait, how has this not happened already? Oh well, it still rules!” news, Milwaukee folk/superhero Milverine will throw out the first pitch at Tuesday’s Milwaukee Brewers game. (Not coincidentally, Tuesday is “Marvel Super Hero Night” at American Family Field.) The oft-shirtless power walker made the announcement Monday night on Instagram.

“Yes, hi guys, this is the Milverine,” Milverine begins. “Now tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 22 at 7 p.m., I will be at American Family Field to throw out the first pitch when the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Minnesota Twins. I will have no problem throwing the ball to the catcher because I grew up playing baseball and I was a pitcher.”

Hell yeah. We’d reach out to the Brewers for confirmation, but would Milverine lie to us? (No, no he would not.) Also, there’s no word yet on the jersey/no-jersey question.

Milverine—real name John Frank Hamann—has been a Milwaukee character for more than a decade, famous for hoofing it around town sans shirt, and for bearing more than a passing resemblance to the X-Men’s Wolverine. Hamann has been the subject of countless social media posts, videos, news reports, songs, beers, bobbleheads, and even cat-themed Christmas cards. Dude is also a huge opera fan.

Hamann has been active on Instagram for the past year or so (@milverinefrank), documenting his endless jaunts through the city with his dog Princess. If you’re not already following him, do yourself a favor, guys, and follow him NOW. (He always deletes his Reels, so get on it!)
