Wednesday nights can be slow for local music venues, what with the majority of shows falling on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Bay View’s venerable Cactus Club, however, has been filling the mid-week void with its new “Wednesday Night Off!” DJ series, which finds local businesses and general folks-about-town spinning/cueing up their favorite music from 9 p.m. until close. Next Wednesday, October 29, Milwaukee Record’s Matt Wild and Tyler Maas will be taking “Wednesday Night Off!” for a Halloween-themed evening of SPOOKY hits, TERRIFYING Milwaukee deep cuts, and probably some “Weird Al” Yankovic polka medleys. You should totally stop by.
So what else can you expect from the night? We’ll have Milwaukee Record t-shirts and stickers available for all your clothing and sticking needs, as well as a bunch of Halloween candy and other holiday-appropriate goodies. Fun-sized Snickers bars? Definitely. Some Halloween Lunchables? Probably. More? You bet. See you next Wednesday!
