Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a chill little lady known as Mrs. Roper.

Mrs. Roper is a loving and gentle soul ready for her forever home! After this beautiful calico lady claims your legs she will give you nose bumps—actual nose to nose bumps—to say she trusts you.

Her quiet meow sounds more like a question than a meow. It will be important for the adopter to be able to answer all of her questions on a daily basis. Some of these questions include:

(meow): “Can I have some chicken?”
(meow): “Will you please sit down and pet me?”
(meow): “Should I invest in a Traditional IRA or a ROTH IRA?”
(meow): “Would you please scoop my box?”
(meow): “How about that chicken?”
(meow): “Petting, please?”

When she’s not asking ALL of the questions and tending to her five kittens, Mrs. Roper enjoys exploring her foster home. She loves to perch on windows, doesn’t pay any attention to plants, and absolutely adores the dogs in her foster home. She would be a great companion for a dog of any size or with one of her own kittens. She is a chill little lady looking for a quiet home.
