Hey! It’s summer! Like, officially summer! Let’s celebrate with a song about summer weather! Behold the aptly named “Summer Weather,” the latest single from the delightfully named Milwaukee indie-pop band Oh Geeez, Not Again! Oh, and the song features some help from fellow Milwaukee indie band 5PM To Nowhere!
Okay, so the song is more about summer weather in one’s mind. That point is made clear by the delightful Joe Ludwig-directed video; it features Oh Geeez, Not Again’s Sean McGibany and 5PM To Nowhere’s Jacob Webb singing in sterile office buildings and empty Summerfest parking lots before moving on to more pleasant green-screen climes. Also, things get a little apocalyptic in the middle.
Speaking of Summerfest, you can catch 5PM To Nowhere at the Big Gig on June 20, at 2:30 p.m. on the UScellular Connection Stage. McGibany and Oh Geeez bandmate Jack Gilmond, meanwhile, will play the independent Ground Floor Stage on June 21 at 5 p.m. Summer!
