Things have been relatively quiet in the Altos camp lately—impressive, since there are approximately 75 members in the band. (Real number: 15-ish.) Still, a terrific show at Cactus Club last month (with Scrimshaw) featured some new compositions from the alternately gloomy and joyous post-rock outfit, as well as a slightly tweaked sound. A new album—the follow-up to 2011’s incredible self-titled record—is reportedly in the works. We can’t wait.

In the meantime, you can get your Altos fix with the gorgeous, animated, and epic video for “Begong Ava Begong Hele,” a single from 2013. Like the song, the video—created by band member Heather Hass—has been kicking around for a while, and was screened at the Milwaukee Day short film fest at Hotel Foster earlier this year. Now, the clip is finally online, so everyone can enjoy the band’s stormy high-seas adventure, which inevitably leads to an encounter with some underwater sea nymphs, some diligent spiders, and an unlikely transformation. Gilligan’s Island this ain’t.
