Summerfest 2025 will feature a “mythical North Woods dreamscape where ancient forest spirits harness the magic of the Aurora Borealis in a cosmic chorus of light and song”

Summerfest is all about the music, the food, and the bleachers, but it’s also about the quirky one-off attractions. Remember that “Fritos Legacy Diner” in 2023? Remember that “cosmic corn field” in 2024? Well, if you were a fan of those things—especially the latter—you’ll love what Summerfest has in store for 2025.

Over all three weekends of Summerfest 2025 (June 19-21, June 26-28, July 3-5), buckle up for an interactive light and sound experience called “Astral Relics Of The Great North Woods.” Like 2024’s “cosmic corn field,” the installation is the creation of Milwaukee’s FuzzPopWorkshop. Other FuzzPop creations include those “gargantuan fluorescent tentacles” at last year’s ArtBlaze beach parties.

“This interactive art installation experience located near the north gate creates a mythical North Woods dreamscape where ancient forest spirits harness the magic of the Aurora Borealis in a cosmic chorus of light and song,” explains a press release. Neat! ‘Nuff said!

No word yet on the return of those Bush’s Baked Beans bucket hats that everyone flipped out about last year—though Bush’s is sponsoring Day 1’s “donate-three-shelf-stable-food-items-and-get-in-free” promotion, so it’s looking good!
