Roughly one week after Giannis Antetokounmpo was traded to the Miami Heat, the downtown mural of the former (ugh, former) Milwaukee Bucks superstar has been vandalized. Which fucking sucks.
A reader, via their spouse, sent us these photos, taken this morning. We blurred the tag.

The mural—located on the east-facing facade of the 600 EAST building in downtown Milwaukee—was created in 2022 by artist Mauricio Ramirez. Just yesterday, the city celebrated the official unveiling of Ramirez’ Bob Uecker mural, located mere blocks from the Giannis mural.

Graffiti art is cool and all, but, like we said, tagging a mural fucking sucks. (Also in the “fucking sucks” category: all the dipshits who used our real photos of the Giannis mural to make shitty AI junk last week. Sadly, today’s graffiti is real.)
Here was the mural on April 26, 2022, when it was still being painted.

And here it was on the day Giannis was traded. Sigh. Hopefully it can be cleaned up and restored.
