One of our favorite recent Milwaukee records is Caley Conway‘s Only A Dark Cocoon, an EP built around the classic Joni Mitchell song “The Last Time I Saw Richard.” One of our favorite Milwaukee radio shows, meanwhile, is WMSE’s The Shape Of Rock, hosted by Craig Mertes Tuesday mornings 6-9 a.m. What happens when those two things combine? As Conway mentions near the end of the clip, she performs monthly at Boone & Crockett with improv trio Argopelter (next date: February 8), and she’ll soon be heading out with Field Report on a short Midwest tour.
