It may feel like winter will never end, but—believe it or not—spring is right around the corner. Need proof? Behold the annual announcement of WMSE’s Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser! The springtime shindig will return to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Kern Center (1245 N. Broadway) on Sunday, April 7. Doors open at 11 a.m.

The 22nd installment of the wildly popular and delicious event will feature more than 40 restaurants competing in a variety of chili categories: best meat, best veggie, best heat, most unique, and “hottest display.” And yes, there will be a new hot sauce to go along with the event: Formula917, developed exclusively for WMSE by A&M Provisions.

Rockabilly Chili 2023

Tickets to Rockabilly Chili 2024 (sponsored by Lakefront Brewery) are on sale NOW. They’re $15 in advance or $20 at the door. And because today is National Hot Sauce Day (a blessed day to all who celebrate), a one-day ticket deal is available: 10 tickets for $100. As for sample tickets, “guests are encouraged to donate two or more non-perishable food items to the Hunger Task Force and in return, they will receive two extra sample tasting tickets,” says WMSE.

Restaurants, cafes, and catering companies interested in signing up for Rockabilly Chili 2024 can do so HERE.
