Taichi Bubble Tea is now open at 2028 E. North Ave. It’s the first Wisconsin location for the national bubble tea and ramen chain, and the 8,000th new bubble tea and ramen joint in Milwaukee (approximately). Hell, there’s one a mere 132 steps from this one on the East Side.
And yes, this is the same storied space that once housed (in chronological order) The Globe East, Live, Lava, The Hotel Foster, Snack Boys, Plant Boys, and Nice Times. Correct us if we’re wrong on any of that. And for readers who are somehow even older than us, feel free to fill in some pre-Globe businesses. (EDIT: It was The Boardwalk immediately before The Globe!)
Taichi is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. You can find a menu HERE. Below, you can find photos of the interior as it is today (stark, clean, sterile) plus a few from years past (anything but stark, clean, or sterile).
