More sad news for the East Side bar scene, as North Avenue stalwart G-Daddy’s BBC, 2022 E. North Ave., abruptly closed today after more than 20 years in business. According to a reader tip, employees were notified of the bar, grill, and venue’s closure by management this morning. Signage posted on the bar’s doors Tuesday confirmed the news. BBC was serving as recently as last night, though rumors of its impending end have been swirling for a few months. The building, which includes the former Hotel Foster, has been for sale for nearly a year.
