The extremely sane and normal Republican National Convention is set to land in Milwaukee July 15-18. What—or even who—it will all entail remains unclear. About the only things we know for sure are A.) you can carry a gun—but not a bottle of water—in the RNC’s “security footprint,” and B.) The Daily Show will tape four episodes in Milwaukee during the convention, as part of its “Indecision 2024” election coverage.
Wanna get free tickets to those tapings—July 15, 16, 17, and 18? (The first three tapings will be in the afternoon, the final one will be in the evening.) Set up an account with something called 1iota and request them HERE. There’s no guarantee you’ll get them, but it’s worth a shot!
Of course, as with all things RNC, there are plenty of unanswered questions. Where will the tapings take place? The site only says “Milwaukee.” (We’ve heard some rumors…) Will Jon Stewart be there for the Monday show? Don’t know. Will there be guests? Don’t know. Will the extremely sane and normal RNC put Milwaukee on the map and line the pocketbooks of every citizen and business owner in the city? Sure, okay.
Also, good grief, remember when The Daily Show was hosted by Craig Kilborn? And the theme song was performed by Bob Mould? Weird!
