A few years after appearing on Jeopardy! as a contestant, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will soon host the beloved game show. The BREAKING NEWS was broken today on the Pat McAfee Show:

The airdate for Rodgers’ show has yet to be announced.
On Monday, Jeopardy! champ Ken Jennings served as the first in a series of new guest hosts, following the death of longtime host Alex Trebek. A new permanent host has yet to be announced.
“One of my idols growing up was Alex Trebek,” Rodgers says in the clip.
