Remember Milwaukee Metal Fest? There hasn’t been a Milwaukee Metal Fest since 2007! Happily, Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta purchased the rights to the storied event in 2022, and is bringing it back this year. YES.

The 2023 lineup for the resurrected festival—which is taking place at The Rave/Eagles Club May 26-28—features some downright legendary metal bands, as well as some cult favorites, a few up-and-coming acts, and a smattering of regional talent. To be honest, we’re far from heavy metal experts, so instead of doing a full-on preview, we’re just going to rank the names of all 78 bands participating in this year’s Milwaukee Metal Fest.

Check out a rundown of this year’s dark, morbid, graphic, violent, deep, and just plain METAL lineup in order of worst name to best name. Then let us know where we messed up (though we’re not going to change anything) and get your Milwaukee Metal Fest tickets today.
