The last few weeks have seen the premieres of two new songs from Field Report’s ridiculously anticipated second album, Marigolden. There’s likely more to the come before the record’s October 7 release on Partisan Records, so it’s wise to keep your eyes peeled and ears open for any forlorn, emotionally devastating Chris Porterfield-penned music drifting through the online ether.

In the meantime, Marigolden’s official release show has been set for October 22 at the lower level of the Pabst Theater. The hometown, big-theater shows will serve as a nice culmination to Porterfield’s typically busy schedule as of late, which has seen him perform in Appleton chapels and renovated funeral homes, to name a few unlikely places. General admission tickets to the Pabst show are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the show, and go on sale Friday, August 22 at noon.
