Triple Taproom & Kitchen—formerly known as Hacienda Taproom & Kitchen, formerly formerly known as Hacienda Beer Co.—has closed. The taproom and restaurant opened in 2019 in the former G-Daddy’s BBC, 2018 E. North Ave.
Following rumors Monday night, the news was confirmed by Triple Taproom on Tuesday morning.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the time we’ve had in Milwaukee—it’s been an amazing journey filled with great food, cold pints, and even better company,” Triple Taproom said in an Instagram post. “Regretfully, we announce that the Triple Taproom is closing its doors.”

3 Sheeps Brewing also confirmed the news on Tuesday. 3 Sheeps, along with Door County Brewing Co. and Hacienda Beer Co., were the three beer brands under the Triple Taproom umbrella.
“When we joined the space at the Triple Taproom, we were excited to have a physical presence in Milwaukee—pouring beer alongside our longtime friends at Door County Brewing and Hacienda Beer Co.,” 3 Sheeps said in their own Instagram post. “Today, we’re saddened to share that they’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors.”

Hacienda Beer Co. opened on the East Side in mid-2019. The so-called “experimental wing of Door County Brewing Co.” found early success with a rotating selection of small-batch beers. Following the pandemic, Hacienda rebranded as Hacienda Taproom & Kitchen, and focused on a revamped food menu. In 2024, Hacienda rebranded again as Triple Taproom & Kitchen, adding 3 Sheeps to the mix.

The closure of Triple Taproom follows a series of closures and turnovers in the East Side / North Avenue neighborhood. Italian restaurant L’Incontro, 2315 N. Murray Ave., closed in July. Crossroads Collective food hall, 2238 N. Farwell Ave., closed in May, and will be replaced by Italian restaurant Nadi Plates this fall. Good City Brewing, 2108 N. Farwell Ave., briefly closed in March and reopened as Wayfinder in April.

We’ll have more information as this story develops. Until then, as always:
