Well, Polish Fest and Festa Italiana have been postponed and/or canceled for 2020, due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. Polish Fest was originally set for June 12-14 at Henry Maier Festival Park. The fest says it is looking for “possible alternative dates.” Festa was originally set for July 17-19 at Henry Maier Festival Park. The fest says it will “return to its glory BIGGER and BETTER than ever in 2021.”

POLISH FEST

“Due to the recent health concerns we all share and the inability to perform key preparation for events in time of Stay at Home directive; we have been informed by Milwaukee World Festival/Summerfest that the grounds will not be available to open and host our festival for our dates of June 12-14. We have been discussing alternatives already in concern for health safety to our volunteers, performers, participants, and patrons prior to this directive and will continue to do so for possible alternative dates.”

FESTA ITALIANA

“Planning and preparations were in order to proceed with this year’s festival however due to the unforeseen circumstance of COVID-19, the Italian Community Center Board of Directors have deemed it the responsible course of action to take in canceling this year’s festival. The coronavirus has impacted virtually every business and industry across the country. The health and safety of our employees, volunteers, vendors, members and certainly our attendees are our highest priority to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Festa Italiana will return to its glory BIGGER and BETTER than ever in 2021.”
