Yesterday we blessed you with the news that the Milwaukee area is getting not one, but TWO so-called “selfie studios.” Selfie WRLD MKE—a local outpost of a Des Moines-based chain—will open June 12 in Brookfield. Selfie Hop—a locally owned and operated selfie studio—will open June 3 on the East Side. Both businesses will feature more than a dozen funky little stations and/or “interactive art installations” where you can, well, take selfies. Or photos with friends. Or whatever. You do you.

But when it rains selfie studios, it POURS selfie studios. As many eagle-eyed readers pointed out, the Milwaukee area is actually set to get THREE selfie studios. The long-awaited 3rd Street Market Hall—a.k.a. the food hall that’s opening this summer on the first floor of the old Shops of Grand Avenue, you know, right where the Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra used to be—will not only boast food from Dairyland Old Fashioned Frozen Custard and Hamburgers and other TBA vendors, but it’ll have, yes, an interactive “selfie museum.” Where you can take selfies or whatever. Again, you do you.

3rd Street Market Hall will also come complete with two Top Golf suites, a shuffleboard court, a six-lane slot car track, snookball, and other “activity” stuff. What’s next? Retail? Maybe various shops and stores all under the same roof, with the food hall serving as a central “court,” if you will? Dare to dream.
