MEDIA ALERT: ‘Plant-itary Orbits’ Train Show Opens at the Domes January 14.

WHAT: The annual Train Show has long been the Domes’ biggest Show Dome event, and on it rolls … this year’s theme is “Plant-itary Orbits,” an adventure like no other in our galaxy! Running on four tracks totaling 800 feet, G-scale trains traverse the unusual plant orbits of miniature white azalea trees and Vietnamese cypresses, “Headliner Starry Night Burgundy” petunias, and into the deep blue space of the pansy matrix. Make it your mission to experience the awesome flora and miniature rolling stock which is the Domes Train Show!
The Train Show also includes ‘Sticker Wednesdays’ – visitors on any Wednesday during the show will receive a free sticker. While supplies last.
And in conjunction with the Train Show:
January 19-29: We’re excited to be a participating museum in the 2023 Milwaukee Museum Days.
January 28: Milwaukee’s renowned Gutekunst Flute Choir performs live at the Domes at 2pm. Included in Domes admission.
February 4 & 5: All-Scale Train Show. The Train Show expands its range (into the Domes lobby) for this celebration of rails ridden in miniature. Trains of all types and sizes will be displayed, on and alongside various track layouts. Included in Domes admission.
The ‘Plant-itary Orbits’ Train show will run until March 26th, 2023.

• The Mitchell Park Domes opens 9am-5pm on Wednesday through Friday and 9am-4pm on weekends. The last entry is one hour before close.
