CAL: Good evening everybody, and welcome to another edition of WMSE’s Local/Live!
MATT: We have the one, the only, Dave Schoepke in the studio! Now I don’t want to say this is a first, but it’s certainly a first for me, the first time on Local/Live we have a solo drummer! Dave just got back from a big tour of Germany, and I believe he has a new single that he released earlier this month as well.
CAL: I’ve seen Dave play, but I’ve never seen him do a solo set before. I’ve seen him play in a lot of different combos. Of course, he’s been Willy Porter’s drummer for the majority of this century. He’s played with Tweed Funk, Lovanova, and Dark Horse Project. He’s worked with Buffalo Nichols, Velocihamster, and of course, the great Martin Barre of Jethro Tull fame, among many other things!
