Comedic Swiss Army knife Michael Ian Black has done it all. The funnyman is an alumnus of seminal sketch troupe The State; he accounted for 33.333 (repeating) percent of the incomparable and criminally underrated Stella; he’s written both children’s and adult non-fiction literature; and he currently co-hosts the Topics podcast with his State, Stella, and Wet Hot American Summer (!!!) cohort Michael Showalter.

Somewhere between books and his heft of on-screen work, Black added “stand-up comic” to his varied and voluminous résumé. In 2011, he released his debut stand-up special, Very Famous, the same year he made his most recent Turner Hall appearance. Black will return to Turner June 11 for what’s sure to be a hilarious evening of sidesplitting stories told by an iconic humorist. Milwaukee Record is so sure this will be great, we’re proudly sponsoring the event.

Tickets (general admission) cost $20. They can be purchased at PabstTheater.org beginning Friday, May 2 at noon.
