Do you miss MTV Unplugged? Do you miss the intimate, acoustic, and exceedingly ’90s vibe of the landmark concert series? Then make your way to Riverwest Radio (824 E. Center St.) on Saturday, January 13 for an intimate, acoustic, and exceedingly awesome Unplugged-esque show from Social Cig and Wave Chapelle. The studio may or may not be decked out in stargazer lilies.
“Come be a part of Milwaukee history!” proclaims a press release. “Social Cig and Wave Chapelle, two of Milwaukee’s biggest artists, will be putting on their first-ever show together at the Riverwest Radio studio, which will be filmed in front of a live studio audience on January 13 in an intimate setting.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the music starts at 8. Wave Chapelle will begin the show with a 30-minute set; following a short intermission, Social Cig’s Parker Schultz will play his own 30-minute set. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door. Capacity will be limited to 40 people.
The Riverwest Radio show is being produced by, well, The Show on Riverwest Radio, which has featured both Social Cig and Wave Chapelle in the past.
