Beginning this weekend, the 2025 South by Southwest music conference/festival/blowout will take over every venue/bar/corner of Austin, Texas. And amidst all the madness will be a contingent of artists giving Austin a taste of some of the best music Milwaukee has to offer.

On March 12 and 13, Milwaukee acts The Keystones, Scam Likely, Social Cig, NilexNile, Joey Turbo, and Wave Chapelle will perform an official SXSW showcase in the so-called Wisconsin House. The Milwaukee takeover is being organized by The Cooperage’s Jason Burczyk.

Tonight, The Cooperage is hosting a sendoff party for the MKE musicians. “Grab your friends and loved ones and come hang out and catch some tunes from the Wisconsin House lineup,” reads the event description. “Drink some beers, snap some photos, listen to some tunes and donate a few bucks to the bands to help with gas, hotels, food and whathaveyou for the trip down!” The party begins at 7 p.m. There’s a suggested $10 cash donation at the door.

Safe travels, folks, and good luck! Here are some of our favorite tunes from the SXSW-bound acts:
