We’re screening ‘Total Recall’ at Avalon Theater on April 23 Tyler Maas March 20, 2025 If you were one of the many folks who attended last night’s screening of Tremors at Avalon Theater: 1. Thank you, and 2. We think you’re really going to like next month’s film selection. On Wednesday, April 23, Milwaukee Record will keep the sci-fi movie fun going with an extra special screening of Total Recall in accordance with the movie’s upcoming 35th anniversary. Tickets to the 7 p.m. screening are on sale NOW. The classic 1990 flick stars Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of his most iconic roles. Schwarzenegger is joined by a great supporting cast that includes the likes of Sharon Stone, Rachel Ticotin, Ronny Cox, and Michael Ironside. The Paul Verhoeven-directed vehicle is known for its ahead-of-its-time special effects, its masterful blend of action and comedy, some timeless quotes (“consider that a divorce!”), and being the template for countless futuristic films that have come out in the decades since its release. It ruled 35 years ago and it still rules today. Reserved seating tickets to this “Milwaukee Record Presents” screening are $11. You can get them HERE. As always, the screening will be sponsored by our friends at Lakefront Brewery, Gruber Law Offices, and Skilos: A Family Pet Store. We don’t have Kuato-like powers, but we’re thinking you probably want to join us at Avalon Theater on Wednesday, April 23.
