When we last checked in with eternal party-rocker Andrew W.K., we took the dude shopping at American Science & Surplus. Later that night, W.K. played The Rave and did a rousing Milwaukee version of his song “I Love NYC.” There was no Milwaukee anthem at W.K.’s 50-minute Summerfest set Thursday afternoon (nor was there a shopping spree), but there was some simple, on-brand advice that has stuck with us 14 hours later.
“It’s a party in Milwaukee!” Andrew W.K. said at the beginning of his set. “It’s a beauty of a day for a party, too!” (This was before that big storm hit.) Fast-forward to the end of the set, and this is what Andrew W.K. had to say:
