Earlier this summer Milwaukee dream-pop project Rose Of The West suddenly re-bloomed with its first new song in four years, “Come And Find Me.” The song was the lead single from ROTW’s upcoming album No Things Permanent, which is set for a September 8 release on Communicating Vessels. Now, with mere weeks to go before that release, frontwoman Gina Barrington—along with Thomas Gilbert, Cedric LeMoyne, and Dave Power—have unveiled a second single/video, “Feast Or Famine.” It’s pretty incredible. We can’t wait for this album.

“‘Feast Or Famine’ is a statement years in the making,” reads a press release. “Part hymnal, part lament, and part willing surrender, the song is a labor of love for Barrington that underwent a transformation with the addition of a bridge—a kind of meta commentary on breaking up the cyclical nature of a doomed dynamic.”

Rose Of The West released its eponymous debut record in 2019; that same year, one of the songs from that record, “Roads,” found its way onto the Netflix series Impulse. (A previous single, “Hunter’s Will,” was featured in the Netflix series You.) Did we already mention we can’t wait for No Things Permanent? Yeah, we can’t wait!
