Last month we hipped you to “Hyenas,” the latest song from Milwaukee synth-flecked indie-punk band Brave You. It’s pretty great! Need a refresher? Enjoy the Samer Ghani-directed video below:

“Hyenas” is the title and leadoff track of a three-song EP that was released in December. And ahead of tonight’s release show at Cactus Club (featuring support from Breakup Tour, Osseo, and The Early 90’s), we thought it would be a good time to let you know that the full EP is pretty great, too!

Track two, “Shitkickers,” finds Brave You taking a slightly anthemic route with a moody intro, plenty of musical left turns, and at least one good old-fashioned scream-along. The third song, “Wolf,” may be HYENAS‘ finest moment. “I know there’s peace to be found for the lost and beaten down,” Mary Sibilski sings in the song’s closing moments. “So all I owe you, and all you owe me, is grace and solid ground.” That’s a lovely sentiment, isn’t it? Also, two words: synth solo!
