On Saturday, September 21, Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood was alive and buzzing with its annual end-of-summer Bay View Bash. The weather was perfect (maybe a little scorching in the early afternoon, but whatever), the crowds were beautiful, and the food and drink was pure Milwaukee. Oh, and the music! Five stages situated along the stretch of street between Clement and Potter hosted everything from rock, hip-hop and punk to metal, DJ dance parties, and drag shows. Did our Milwaukee Record Stage have a little bit of everything? Yes it did.
Anyway, Bay View Bash 2024 ruled. Need proof? Let’s start with this #BertAlert from our tireless weather correspondent Bert Lauderdale…
And how about this lil’ video we put together, featuring many of the musicians who played the Bash? (Note: A bunch of acts are missing, not because we missed them, but because I [Matt] was selling shirts at our stage for a few hours and I had a Square reader plugged into my phone and I forgot to take it out and it turns out if you have a Square reader plugged into your phone while you’re filming the audio comes back as nothing more than a high-pitched whine. Sorry about that!)
And finally, here are 41 pictures from the big day. Thanks to everyone who came out, and thanks to everyone who busted their asses to make this year’s Bay View Bash a success! See you in 2025!
