Today is Friday the 13th. Though this occasional numeric occurrence on the calendar is typically tied to bad luck, you have the good fortune of getting to watch a brand new music video from Fuzzysurf. On top of churning out top-notch indie rock tunes, the band routinely can be counted upon to pair those great songs with visuals that are ambitious, impressive, and altogether awesome. Seriously! We’ve written about like a dozen of their music videos over the past few years.

Well, in honor of this Friday the 13th, Fuzzysurf—with the help of familiar creative cohorts Tommy Simms and Joe Ludwig of Simwig Studios—just released a video with a concept that directly confronts the topic of bad luck. The music video for the band’s new standalone single, “Sucky,” finds each of the group’s members experiencing a series of misfortunes as they go about their day. As the string of terrible events grows ever longer, viewers get to see a bunch of Milwaukee landmarks and local references in a variety of neighborhoods before a bad day eventually turns into downright catastrophe.

Fuzzysurf and Simwig Studios have been responsible for some of the city’s finest music videos over the last few years and it’s quite possible this one is their best work yet. Oh, and the song itself rules too! Make this Friday the 13th a good day and watch the “Sucky” music video now.
