While this winter hasn’t been especially wintry, it’s time to think spring. That’s right: we’re delighted to inform you that WMSE’s annual Rockabilly Chili fundraiser is set to return to MSOE’s Kern Center on Sunday, April 16. YES.
The 21st installment of the wildly popular and delicious event will kick off at 11 a.m. More than 50 different chilis from various Milwaukee restaurants, cafes, and caterers will duke it out for awards in three categories: Meat, Veggie, Heat, and Unique. Will there be an award for Best Display? Yes. Will Chicken Shack DJ Johnny Z and Saturday Morning Cartunes DJ Dietrich spin tunes throughout the afternoon? Yes. Will there be a “new, special edition, very hot” hot sauce from A&M Provisions called “Hellraiser” (thus the graphic)? Oh, we have such sights to show you…
Advance tickets are $15, and go on sale Sunday, January 22 (National Hot Sauce Day, natch). Day-of tickets are $20. Wanna get 8 advance tickets with four chili samples each for only $100? You can totally do that.
Restaurants, cafes, and catering companies interested in signing up for Rockabilly Chili can do so HERE.
