We’ve lost track of all the high-profile virtual cast reunions that have been raising money for Wisconsin Democrats—Parks & Rec and Happy Days have already happened, right? Superbad is still to come?—but this one is kinda cool. On Halloween night, none other than Tim Curry will host a Rocky Horror Picture Show “musical livestream” featuring “cast members and special guests.” And yes, the event will benefit the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. Time is fleeting, indeed.

Want to check it out? Sign up and pay what you want HERE. The fun begins at 9 p.m. CST on Saturday, October 31.

So who’s showing up other than Dr. Frank-N-Furter? How about Wilmer Valderrama, Lance Bass, Rosario Dawson, Jason George, Nell Campbell (Columbia from the original production), Seth Green, Jason Alexander, David Arquette, and more. Want music? How about performances from The Dresden Dolls, Miss Peppermint, Eiza Gonzalez, Josh Gad, Ben Barnes, Jenna Ushkowitz, Rachel Bloom, Karen Olivo, Marissa Jaret Winkour, Madison Uphoff, Kalen Chase, and Rumer Willis. Phew.

Also, here’s that clip of Curry saying “SPAAYYYCE!” in Command & Conquer.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show holds a special place in Milwaukee’s heart, of course. Pre-pandemic, the film had screened regularly as a midnight movie at the Oriental Theatre ever since 1978. Not only that, but a “shadowcast” called Sensual Daydreams regularly acted alongside the movie as it rolled. Back in 2015, we dropped in on one of those screenings and ended up with lipstick on our cheek and a condom in our pocket. Do the Time Warp and relive that magic HERE!
