Next Sugar Maple pop-up: It’s Always Sunny In Milwadelphia

The last few years have found The Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) becoming a go-to destination for themed pop-ups and art shows. In 2023 alone, the beloved Bay View craft beer bar transformed itself into a Wes Anderson wonderland, an I Think You Should Leave spot, and a Nintendo gaming paradise. Now, from Thursday, March 14 through Sunday, March 17, The Sugar Maple is looking to the long-running It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia for inspiration. That’s right: it’s going to be ALWAYS SUNNY IN MILWADELPHIA.

According to The Sugar Maple, the four-day event will feature “a themed, curated art show featuring local artists who have created works specifically for this event, a themed vendor fair featuring local vendors, a variety of food trucks/food vendors, a costume contest, and games and decorations to immerse the viewer in world of Paddy’s Pub, the Irish dive bar, run by the sociopathic/narcissistic group of friends.” There will be plenty of cocktails inspired by the show, including Fight Milk, Riot Juice, Gail The Snail, Green Man, and Invigaron. And yes, each day will feature a scavenger hunt for “Paddy’s Eggs” at The Sugar Maple and 1840 Brewing Company.

Thursday, March 14 (4 p.m. – 12 a.m.)

Artists’ Reception featuring 11 local artists (4-10p)
Chef Xay’s “Mac’s Famous Mac N Cheese” (5-9p)

Friday, March 15 (4 p.m. – 12 a.m.)

Costume Contest (8-9p) featuring prizes for First and Second Place.
Sweet Smoke BBQ Food Truck (6-10p)

Saturday, March 16 (12 p.m. – 12 a.m.)

Themed Vendor Fair featuring Local Artists (1-6p)
Ready To Roll Handcrafted Artisan Egg Rolls (1-5p)
Cocina Filipina (6-10p)
Flipadelphia Flip Cup Competition (8-10p) featuring a Trophy for First Place. Sign up at 8p, Games begin at 8:30p

Sunday, March 17 (noon – 10 p.m.)

“Chardee Macdennis” Trivia (2-4p) featuring First and Second Place Prizes.
Hot (rum) Ham And Rolls (1-5p)
