Fresh off its semi-recent transformation into an I Think You Should Leave-themed bar, The Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) really 1UPed themselves with their latest pop-up concept. From October 19 through October 22, the Bay View bar hosted “Bartendo,” a four-day celebration of all things Nintendo.

Bartendo featured game-themed specialty cocktails, as well as “a themed, curated art show featuring local artists who have created works specifically for this event; a themed vendor fair featuring local vendors; a variety of food trucks; four separate gaming stations, two of which are Mario Kart and Smash Bros. with four player set ups; a Mario-inspired photo booth; a Gameboy Photo Booth; a live Nintendo Jazz Score by Mechanical Life Vein; Tatiana’s Tiny Zoo with real reptiles; a costume contest, a gaming competition; and all sorts of decorations to immerse the viewer in the Nintendo world.”

Before it was “game over” for Bartendo, we managed to stop by during Saturday’s vendor fair. It was a great time. If you weren’t able to make it or if you just want to experience it again, you can check out these 19 photos from Sugar Maple’s Bartendo pop-up event. We’re excited to see what the bar comes up with next!
