Ever since the crushing and still-tragic-at-90 loss of Bob Uecker in January, the question on everyone’s mind has been how the Milwaukee Brewers will celebrate the beloved broadcaster/icon. A full public Celebration of Life is still in the works (including, perhaps, a “Uecker Experience” at American Family Field), but on Monday, the Brewers unveiled a small tribute to Ueck: a jersey patch that will be on the sleeve of Brewers uniforms for the full 2025 season.

Here it is. And yes, the plaid is a nod to Uecker’s flashy sportscoats he rocked over the years:

“We miss Bob every day, and all the more as we approach our first season without him at our side,” says Brewers President – Business Operations Rick Schlesinger in a press release. “Ueck was a great friend to all of us. He was a fixture at the ballpark and in our lives. We cannot fill the hole that his absence has created, but the jersey patch will be a way to honor his memory whenever we take the field.”

The patch will make its debut during Spring Training. Miss ya, Ueck.
