Amidst national and local concerns over a possible outbreak, Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater Group has shared new measures it’s taking due to the impact of coronavirus—or COVID-19. On Tuesday, PTG, which operates the Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, and The Back Room @ Colectivo, released the following statement:

We’d like to take a moment to share the steps that we are taking at the Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, and Back Room @ Colectivo to help keep our patrons and employees safe, healthy and informed in relation to concerns regarding the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19).

We’ve increased the extent of our cleaning procedures and we are taking special care to ensure that all surfaces in our venues, including seats and arm rests, are wiped down using CDC approved disinfectant products. Additionally, we have increased the presence of hand sanitizing stations throughout areas of assembly in our venues and have stocked our bars with disinfectant wipes for more frequent and effective sanitizing wipe downs during the course of service. We are also ensuring that our employees stay informed and have the support they need to stay healthy and remain at home if they become ill.

We are staying informed with the most up-to-date information from the CDC, WHO, Wisconsin Department of Health and City of Milwaukee Health Department. The CDC currently indicates that for the general American public, who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus at this time, that the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, we want to hear from you. Please call the box office at (414) 286-3205 or email [email protected].
