Even though winter isn’t typically a season Milwaukee looks at with much fondness, at least a lot of great Milwaukee music has been released between late December 2024 and now (near the middle of winter and currently in the 36 hours between two Snow Emergencies). As we buckle in for more than a month of winter ahead, Milwaukee Record wanted to take a moment to acknowledge some of our favorite songs local musicians released so far in the season by putting together a “Winter 2025” Spotify playlist. And yeah, we absolutely included that song we wrote about the boat.
Is Spotify a terrible platform that has done irreparable harm to the music industry? Absolutely. Do you still have a Spotify account in spite of that? Probably.
