In its relatively brief history, Lilliput Records (1669 N. Farewell Ave., 414-271-8590) has already established itself as one of the state’s best record stores. The independent music retailer has also brought folks in by hosting recurring “After Hours” concerts, interactive listening parties, and—when time and label/management approval allows—even the occasional in-store signing. On Thursday, May 30, Lilliput will have one of those aforementioned signing sessions and, boy, it’s a doozy.

That afternoon from 3:30-4:30, Andrew Bird (along with his bandmates Ted Poor and Alan Hampton) will make an appearance at Lilliput Records prior to Thursday night’s performance at Pabst Theater. During that hour-long appearance, Bird and co. will sign copies of the brand new album, Sunday Morning Put-On, and other Bird releases Lilliput will have available for sale as part of this rare in-person opportunity. Those interested in attending are encouraged to make their CD and/or vinyl purchase prior to the event. Lilliput staff will be starting the line at 2:45 p.m. Call the store at 414-271-8590 if you have any questions.

If you want a little face time with the prolific singer-songwriter before he takes the stage at Pabst Theater this week, Lilliput Records is the place to be on Thursday, May 30. Tell Andrew we said hi.
