Taylor Swift needs no introduction, but allow us to say that Milwaukee alt/pop/rock band Gold Steps rules. In the last year alone the group has released an EP on Revival Recordings, toured the U.S., played a ton of local shows (including a sweet Summerfest gig), racked up one million streams on Spotify, and released an ear-worm single called “Undercover.” And now Gold Steps has dropped a pitch-perfect pop-punk cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.” Screaming, crying, perfect storms, etc. ENJOY!

Gold Steps’ next Milwaukee/Cudahy shows are November 10 at The Back Room @ Colectivo (with Rat Bath and Kat And The Hurricane) and November 17 at X-Ray Arcade (with Belmont, Can’t Swim, and House Parties). Swift’s Eras Tour film is playing all over Milwaukee (including the Oriental Theatre), and the “Taylor’s Version” of 1989 (on which “Blank Space” appears) will be released October 27. FINALLY!
