It’s been many (blood) moons since we were lucky enough to write the words “new Tigernite song.” Seriously, it’s been eight years since the witchy Milwaukee glam-rock group released its last album, Sublunary, and a full seven since it released a video for Sublunary track “Oracle.” Tigernite has been playing shows for the last year or so, but there’s been nothing new on record.

Until now, of course. It brings us great, devilish pleasure to premiere a new Tigernite song, “New Devil.” The song finds powerhouse singer Molly Roberts belting the fuck out of lines like “I am the Old Mother / King Breaker / Hunt me down, never cast me out.” Meanwhile, Maxwell Emmet (guitar), Bill Reuter (bass), and Alex Becker (drums) thrash away and give everything a classic hard rock edge. As for the video, it’s a trippy DIY liquid light show Roberts says was made “on an ancient overhead projector in my basement.” Hell yeah.

Oh, did we mention “New Devil” comes from a new Tigernite EP called DATURA? And that the EP is set to drop this October? Double hell yeah.
