Last week, Telethon announced Modern Abrasive—the follow-up to last year’s outstanding 30-song and 90-minute concept album, The Grand Spontanean: A Tale Told In Five Actsand released a hilarious music video for the forthcoming EP’s title track. With Modern Abrasive‘s November 9 release coming quick, the Milwaukee “hard pop” outfit has decided to follow up the video’s release with a brand new lyric video for a second single.

Accompanying the soothing imagery of burning sage, “Palo Santo” is a slow burner in its own right that builds to a satisfying and synth-y crescendo in under four minutes. “This is a song about the life-long process of finding new fixes to improve your life,” singer-guitarist Kevin Tully says. “They may work or they may not. Their effects may hold or they may evaporate.”

Watch the video for the new single now, and pre-order Modern Abrasive before its November 9 release.
