Less than a week after SistaStrings made their late night television debut while performing alongside Allison Russell on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, another artist with strong Milwaukee ties will perform on a different late night show.

As you might’ve gleaned from the article’s headline, that artist is Buffalo Nichols and the program this time around is Late Show With Stephen Colbert (of “taking a dump on Milwaukee, then apologizing for it, and then redeeming itself in the eyes of the city” fame). Today, Buffalo Nichols—the solo project of Milwaukee native and current Austin, Texas resident Carl Nichols—announced in a Facebook post that he’ll be performing on the CBS program on Tuesday, March 29.

After performing in noted Milwaukee acts like Nickel&Rose and Painted Caves, Nichols released his self-titled solo debut under the Buffalo Nichols moniker on Fat Possum Records last October. Since then, he’s been avidly touring and supporting acts like Drive By Truckers, he appeared in NPR‘s “Tiny Desk” concert series, and he has upcoming show dates with Valerie June in the books this spring.

Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs at 10:35 p.m. CST on CBS.
