Earlier this year, Milwaukee alt-rock group 5pm To Nowhere released the six-song City Of Light – Act I EP. It was a mostly moody and emotional affair, highlighted by crooning mid-tempo jams like “City Of Light,” and dark piano ballads like “Breathing Room.”

Now, 5pm To Nowhere is back with a decidedly more upbeat track, “One More Chance.” If you’re a fan of jangly ’90s alt/indie-rock with hints of Gin Blossoms and Toad The Wet Sprocket, you’ll want to take a listen:

Recorded with Derek Moffat at 608 Studios, “One More Chance” is the first single from 5pm To Nowhere’s next EP, the appropriately titled City Of Light – Act II. The band says the song “pits the protagonist and his dreams against his loved ones’ fears for his well-being.” We say it’s a terrific track, and one that leaves us eagerly awaiting more.
