After more than 15 years of service, Stack’d Burger Bar has closed. News of the closure hit social media last month, and the regular ol’ media late last week.
Located at 170 S. 1st St., Stack’d was an early entrant in the “gourmet burger” game. “Combining quality grass-fed beef with premium local ingredients, amazing craft cocktails and beer, Stack’d is Milwaukee’s burger spot!” reads a Facebook description. A standalone website for Stack’d is expired.
But Stack’d will live on…in the form of its bar and restaurant equipment that’s currently up for auction! Badger Corporation is handling the timed online auction, which includes more than 700 items. You know, stuff like tables, chairs, glassware, lights, lighted beer signs, TVs, coolers, espresso machines, and pretty much anything else you can think of.
The auction is live NOW, and ends Thursday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m. An inspection date is set for April 23. Checkout dates are April 25 and 28.
R.I.P. Stack’d.
