Originally started as an extremely small brewery in a glorified closet in the Lincoln Warehouse back in 2013, Enlightened Brewing Company‘s reputation and its footprint have both grown considerably in recent years. After opening a cozy taproom and expanding its brewing output to a spot on the ground floor of the Lincoln Warehouse in 2016, Enlightened relocated to a far more spacious brewery, taproom, and events space in the former Louis Allis Motors plant at 2020 S. Allis St. in Bay View in May of 2019.

Though a pandemic has made much of its stint in the new site difficult to navigate, Enlightened is ready to celebrate two years in its new brewery with an exciting event in-person. On Saturday, May 22, Enlightened Brewing Company’s “2 Year Anniversary Block Party” will bring a winning mix of craft beer, live music, and food to Allis St.

Enlightened will have its excellent beers on hand (including the release of the brand new “C” pale ale) as Derek Pritzl And The Gamble and Joseph Huber perform. Heirloom MKE food truck will also be selling food on-site. The block party is free to attend. Music starts at 5 p.m., and according to Enlightened, “masks will be required inside and outside when not seated/stationary, but especially when interacting with staff.”
