Our partner Pilot Project, a beverage incubator with locations in Chicago and Milwaukee, has championed emerging brewers, offering mentorship, resources, and opportunities to grow—just as Zócalo Food Park has done for food entrepreneurs. Together, these two incubators are creating pathways for innovation and entrepreneurship in the beverage and culinary industries, making their collaboration a perfect match for Michelada Fest. Pilot Project will be providing beer for the event.

This exciting event will feature the Best of Milwaukee Michelada Competition, where top local bars and restaurants will battle for the title of Best Michelada in town. Attendees will have the chance to taste unique variations of this beloved beer cocktail while enjoying a lively atmosphere filled with music, boxing, great food, and community spirit.

A Partnership with Purpose: Supporting UCC’s Boxing Program

Zócalo Food Park has also partnered with its neighbor, the United Community Center (UCC), to help raise funds for their renowned boxing program. For over 54 years, UCC has built a world-class program, founded by Israel “Shorty” Acosta, a former U.S. Olympic Boxing coach and a representative on the 1984 U.S. Olympic Team.

The UCC Boxing Program is one of the most successful youth development initiatives in Milwaukee, training young athletes to become champions both inside and outside the ring. Through hard work and dedication, participants develop discipline, self-confidence, and a strong work ethic.

Funds for this impactful program will be raised through sponsorships and donations collected during the event. Attendees and sponsors will have the opportunity to support young athletes and contribute directly to the continued success of this life-changing program.
