Back in the summer of 2018, Wërd Bar opened at the former site of Cloud Bar (111 W. Howard Avenue) and had ambitious intentions of becoming “your premier live entertainment and bar destination in Milwaukee, WI and the surrounding area.” Just shy of three years later, Wërd Bar is now closed.
Over the weekend, we noticed a sign posted on the door of the Bay View-adjacent business that simply said “Bar Is Closed.” The closure appears to be permanent, as the property is currently listed for sale, with a $449,000 asking price.
