“‘The greatest burger ever made’? No. The best burger place in Cudahy? Maybe. A comfortable, no-frills neighborhood burger joint we’ll visit again? Absolutely.”

That’s what we wrote about Cudahy Burger Joint (4905 S. Packard Ave., 414-436-0750) when we visited the then-new establishment in December 2015. Now, little more than four years later, the business has announced its imminent closure. Late Tuesday morning, Cudahy Burger Joint posted this message on Facebook:

Dear Burger friends,

Thank you for 4 years of laughs and Burgers.
It has been my pleasure to see all of you enjoying our burgers and milkshakes.
Sadly, due to health reasons, this Saturday will be our last day open.
Never fear! A new and exciting restaurant is set to take our place.
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday.
Thank you again for all of your laughs and visits.
-CBJ

We’ll have more info on the new restaurant taking CBJ’s place when it becomes available. Until then, relive the great Cudahy Burger Joint / Lakeside Pub burger beef of 2016 HERE.
